Translations- North/South

This is the start of something new for me. I’ve been working with friends on translating essays from English to Spanish.

This is an expansion on that idea, on work that I think needs to be translated. Some of the work will show up in English before its translation. I’ve decided to start with Grada Kilomba’s “Plantation Memories”. I will be posting the book section by section, first in English. Then shortly after in Spanish.

This is an act of transferring knowledge since far to many works are not translated due to the profit motive behind publishing house.

I hope to make a crack with this small act of rebellion.
